Meet the makers — the legends and upcoming rock stars of the Zin world. Zinfandel Experience is a three-day wine and culinary extravaganza attracting wine lovers from around the world. Experience the classic character of Zinfandel at five extraordinary events featuring a diverse selection of wines and styles.
The weekend includes a 25 Year Tribute Party, Supper Club, Flights Seminar, Winemakers Auction & Dinner, and Grand Tasting. 2016 Zinfandel Experience is featuring more access to winemaker celebrities, more wineries, and two impressive new venues, showcasing the talents of winemakers, chefs, and artisanal food purveyors.

Imagine getting an invitation to an outstanding wine cellar filled with Zinfandel where your hosts are dozens of legendary winemakers pouring past, present and future vintages. Add several top chefs preparing food that matches the wine. That’s what the Zinfandel Experience is like. Starting at 11am is two hours of a wine lover’s dream: library samples of older perfectly-aged Zinfandels, a bevy of limited-release Reserve Zinfandels, and Barrel samples of upcoming bottlings. At 1:00 PM these select wines will be put away for the commencement of the Current Releases portion of the Grand Tasting.
The centerpiece of Zinfandel Experience 2016 is the Grand Tasting, where wine lovers engage in personal conversations with winemakers while exploring the flavors of Zinfandel blends, single vineyards and old vine Zinfandels or discover the distinctive dialects of Zinfandel growing regions.

At 1pm starts the New Releases Tasting where over 500 different wines will be poured by 150 of the best Zinfandel producers. And all throughout the Zinfandel Experience, you can meet face-to-face with many of the great Zinfandel winemakers. Legends that have helped make Zinfandel into California’s cult grape and the rising stars that are carrying the Zinfandel banner into the future.

The Heritage Club Lounge at the Grand Tasting is offered exclusively as a Heritage Club member benefit with the purchase of Grand Tasting tickets. The Lounge will be open from noon to 5:00 PM. Featuring served tastings of highly-allocated Zinfandels, you will relax and take in the view, while enjoying nibbles and treats, as you talk with winemakers who will be scheduled to drop by throughout the day. Included in Ultimate VIP Package.
Meet the Maker Roundtables - Speed dating for wine lovers
ZAP has a passion for helping Zin enthusiasts and winemakers build lasting relationships. That's why we're bringing Meet the Makers Roundtables to this year's Zinfandel Experience-it's kind of like speed dating for wine lovers
Throughout the Grand Tasting, you can sign up for a seat at the "roundtable" to enjoy the unique experience of meeting a top Zinfandel winemaker in an intimate setting.
During the tasting, you'll learn to appreciate the character of the winemaker and the wine while sharing what you're looking for in an exceptional bottle of Zinfandel.
Starting at 11:30 AM you can register, free of charge, for any available half hour session in the Meet the Maker room. With 40 participating winemakers and limited seating, registering upon arrival at the Grand Tasting is highly recommended. Onsite registration.
